Regional Meeting in Brasília welcomes students from the North and Central-West

For students from the North and Central-West of the 2024 Elections training, the Regional Meeting took place in Brasília, on Saturday, May 25. With 58 participants from both regions, RenovaBR brought together participants in a space for learning, knowledge exchange and connection with experts in leadership training.

At the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District, the event was attended by participants from 12 states and 39 Brazilian municipalities, with 16 parties represented. Moderated by Vitor Paiva, lawyer and monitor of RenovaBR, and Monalisa Carneiro, political scientist and RBR Alumni.

In addition to the participation of Helton Souto, President of the DACOR Institute, and political scientist Humberto Dantas, the meeting was attended by RenovaBR leaders for the two “Elections in Practice” panels. Federal deputy Gisela Simona (União/MT) and councilman Ronilço Guerreiro (Podemos/MS) participated in the “Cities and Society” section; in the “Politics and Market” section, journalist Matheus Ribeiro and Edwal Portilho, Executive President of the Goiás Industrial Development Association (ADIAL) participated.

The event ended with the awarding of awards to the best “Brazil Renewal Day” projects in the North and Central-West regions, divided into 3 categories: Promotion, Popular Mobilization and Civic Entrepreneurship.

In the North region, the award-winning project in the category Promoting Diversity was the “1st Meeting of People with Disabilities in Ananindeua”, by student Alcindo Junior, from class A. In Popular Mobilization, the winner was “Come, Let's Make It Happen”, by student Tainara França, from class C. Finally, the highlight in Civic Entrepreneurship went to the project “Renewed Energy”, by student José Junior, class C.

In the Central-West region, the project “1st Race of Love”, by student Keitê de Almeida (class E), won in the category Promoting Diversity. The Popular Mobilization award went to the project “Citizenship in the Square”, by student Thaline Borba, class A. And in Civic Entrepreneurship, the project “Mutirão Remédio Vencido – Rio Perdido Protegido”, by students Luiza Boer (class A), Deuesdete Romero (class D) and Beatriz Wandscheer (class D) won.
