RenovaBR was selected to participate in the global acceleration program of Better Politics Foundation<\/a>, an international institution that seeks to promote the strengthening of democracy in various countries around the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Natalia Herbst, Director of Development and Strategy for Latin America at the Better Politics Foundation, visited Brazil and learned about RenovaBR's work firsthand. She leads the world's leading platform that brings together entrepreneurs and innovators in political leadership, promoting the renewal of these leaders and rebuilding trust in good politics.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe understand that, currently, political leaders work with 18th-century policies, 19th-century systems, and 20th-century technologies, while trying to solve 21st-century problems,\u201d says Nat\u00e1lia. In this sense, the foundation believes that renewing leadership and rebuilding public trust in democratic institutions are essential steps to address this mismatch, and they carry out this work by supporting politicians before, during, and after the electoral cycle, in addition to supporting different organizations around the world that share the same objective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her visit to the country, Natalia met with Marina Bragante, a leader trained by RenovaBR and a city councilor in S\u00e3o Paulo. At the meeting, the councilor shared the challenges and achievements of those who experience the daily routine of local politics, as well as exchanging experiences on strengthening good politics in the Brazilian and Latin American context. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the conversation, Marina also shared her journey in municipal legislative work, highlighting the difficulties faced by those who decide to dedicate themselves to public life. She reinforced the importance of support networks and ongoing training opportunities for political leaders, especially in a scenario where parties still offer little structure for the development of their members. She also shared about the creation and development of the Climate Caucus, which she considered one of the successes of her political career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalia highlighted that other countries in the region share common difficulties and diagnoses in the day-to-day realities of local politics. Her observations were drawn from field research conducted by the Better Politics Foundation. According to her, many politicians face high levels of stress and emotional overload, reflecting the difficulty in separating public and personal life and the growing distrust of citizens in democratic institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"When leaders don't feel valued or don't have adequate support, it directly impacts the quality of representation and their motivation to continue working for good politics," he commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Better Politics Accelerator<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Better Politics Accelerator (BPA) is one of the leading initiatives of the Better Politics Foundation. The program aims to incubate, accelerate, and support political leaders at different stages of their careers through a global, non-partisan network of political entrepreneurs and innovators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations that promote renewal in political representation are selected and supported. In this way, the foundation helps strengthen projects dedicated to preparing new public officials for elected positions or leadership roles in the public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
