RenovaBR's Director of Institutional and International Affairs, Bruna Barros, participated in the ceremony Person of the Year Awards<\/a>, of the Brazil-United States Chamber of Commerce. The event is a landmark for the Brazilian business and philanthropic community that takes place in New York, in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Popularly known as \u201cPOY Week\u201d, the week is full of meetings led by companies such as BTG Pactual, Forbes, Bloomberg, Financial Times and BrazilFoundation, which allow for closer ties on the bilateral agenda between Brazil and the United States, as well as between various political and social actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its 53rd edition, the Person of the Year Awards Gala Dinner, which took place at the American Museum of Natural History, will honor Brazilian Fabricio Bloisi, global CEO of Prosus and founder of Movile\/IFood, and American Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the event awards three other special prizes to Brazilian actors: Movimento Bem Maior (Philanthropy), Ensina Brasil (Social Responsibility in Leadership), and the founder of the Brazil Foundation, Leona Forman, for her career in social responsibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her stay, the Director met with important figures from the Brazilian political scene and other international players. In New York and Washington, meetings were held to expand funds and strategic partnerships, as well as meetings with institutions focused on promoting democracy and discussions on innovation, philanthropy and the political, economic and environmental context of the countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first days of the event marked the agendas of the Americas Society\/Council of the Americas and Money Report, in addition to the Veja Brazil Insights Forum, which was attended by Brazilian investors and politicians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment was also important to meet actors from the third sector and philanthropy, such as Entrepreneurial Women Network<\/a>, Greater Good Movement <\/a>and the Stimulus Impact Fund<\/a>, from sector 2.5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
