From there, we can take the second step: setting goals for 2025. Self-development begins with recognition and the first insights,” said Raissa, also highlighting the importance of feedback in the self-assessment process.

Participants' reports

Participants brought reports on the lessons learned and challenges of this process.

For Ana Claudia Bitencourt, a RenovaBR alumni, since she started in politics, she feels that she has not seen the feedback from people as she would like. “This reflection was very important for me, and I truly hope that this process that we are going through now will help me improve in these areas,” she said.

Gustavo Nascimento, alumni and deputy mayor of Curvelo (MG), celebrated the alignment between his self-image and the perception of his support network. “It was a very pleasant surprise to realize that my feedback network brought very aligned results. This showed that I know myself well and that the people close to me also know me. It has been an essential tool for my growth.”

Reflections on self-criticism and skills

Alumni and elected councilwoman of Capivari de Baixo (SC), Cariny Figueiredo, highlighted a point that caught her attention: “What surprised me most in this process was realizing how much more critical I was of myself than my support network. This reinforced my perception that my skills are well perceived by those around me, even when I have doubts about myself.”

Bianca Colepicolo, also an alumni, reflected on her skills. “I felt that I was very well represented in the evaluation. One point that stood out to me was the issue of communication, which received a low score. This result brought up several reflections about myself, especially regarding the courage to express my thoughts clearly and confidently.”

Impact of feedback on self-acceptance

Finally, Tom Rocha, elected councilor of Campos Gerais (MG), pointed out the impact of realizing the difference between his self-perception and the vision of his network. “I was very surprised by this difference, and it was a very important learning experience for me. I believe that this is the time for me to accept myself more, recognize my achievements and celebrate victories.”

The “Mapping Your Skills” feedback event sought to encourage participants to develop their leadership skills through self-knowledge and personal empowerment, with a focus on authenticity and more effective political action.
