RenovaBR was represented by Executive Director, Rodrigo Cobra, and Education Coordinator, Marjorie Lynn.<br><br>\u201cThe training was extremely important for RenovaBR, both for learning about the most relevant issues of democracy and for bringing together different institutions of public leadership in Latin America,\u201d said Executive Director Rodrigo Cobra. \u201cThe rapprochement between these schools is extremely relevant and endorsed by the logic of V\u00e9lezReyes+ and Stanford University,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4935\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk-18x10.png 18w, https:\/\/www.renovabr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/fghjk.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the five days of activities, participants had access to theoretical and practical content adapted from Stanford\u2019s LAD teaching methods, applying these lessons to the specific context of their countries. In addition to RenovaBR, representatives of organizations from Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil participated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and develop innovative solutions. Lectures, conferences and case studies were given by renowned experts such as Larry Diamond, Francis Fukuyama, Alberto D\u00edaz-Cayeros and Beatriz Magaloni from Stanford University, who addressed the challenges of liberal democracy and civil society initiatives to strengthen democratic institutions.<br><br>\u201cThe classes with renowned Stanford professors, such as Francis Fukuyama and Beatriz Magaloni, were a unique opportunity to discuss the democratic landscape in our region and learn effective methods for problem-solving,\u201d Marjorie Lynn said. \u201cIn addition, this exchange of experiences allowed us not only to adapt the RenovaBR model to different contexts, but also to share good practices that can strengthen governance and educational methods throughout the region,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Training<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>On the first day, participants had the opportunity to attend the \u201cProblem-Solving Framework\u201d lecture by Francis Fukuyama, followed by the \u201cGlobal Democratic Recession\u201d conference by Larry Diamond. In addition, there was an enriching debate on the American elections and their impact on Latin American relations, providing a broad view of the political dynamics between the two continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the third day, the focus was on Latin American countries: the case study \u201cAdministrative Decentralization in Peru\u201d and the discussion on the elections in Mexico allowed a detailed analysis of the political realities of the region, offering practical lessons that can be applied in similar contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The penultimate day addressed inequality and the future of democracy in Latin America, key issues for understanding the forces shaping political development in the region.
