With 334 registered participants, the event attracted 219 participants from different parts of the country, representing a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds. In total, there were representatives from 19 federative units and 124 municipalities, demonstrating the event&#039;s national reach.<br><br>Party diversity was also notable, with members from 23 different parties present, demonstrating the organization\u2019s commitment to political plurality. Regarding gender and racial representation, the composition of participants reflects the institution\u2019s concern with inclusion and representation. Among those present, 47% were cis women, while cis men represented 56%. The presence of trans women, although still small (0.5%), is indicative of the ongoing effort to include all gender identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Racial diversity was also a highlight. Blacks accounted for 13% of the participants, browns 36%, Asians 0.9% and whites 49%. These numbers demonstrate a commitment to the inclusion of different races and ethnicities, reflecting the diversity of the Brazilian population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Commitment to Renewal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RenovaBR continues to play a crucial role in developing new political leaders and strengthening democracy in Brazil. The organization\u2019s mission is to empower ordinary citizens to become competent political leaders committed to ethics, transparency and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from experts and discuss strategies to address current political challenges. The event was opened by Kayo Amado, Mayor of S\u00e3o Vicente (Podemos\/SP); Federal Deputy Daniel Jos\u00e9 (Podemos\/SP); and Douglas de Souza, Councilman and President of the City Council of Po\u00e7os de Caldas (MG).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two panels on the day with the theme \u201cElections in Practice\u201d were attended by Vinicius Poit, former Federal Deputy and CEO of Est\u00edmulo; Loreny Roberto, Federal Deputy for S\u00e3o Paulo (Solidariedade\/SP); Limeira councilwoman Mariana Calsa (PL\/SP); State Deputy Marina Helou (REDE\/SP); and Aline Torres, former Secretary of Culture of S\u00e3o Paulo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, there was also the presence of Lucielle Laurentino, mayor of Bezerros (Uni\u00e3o\/SP); State Deputy Leo Siqueira (NOVO\/SP); and Raphael Vilela, councilor in Presidente Epit\u00e1cio (PSDB\/SP).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the most anticipated moments of the regional meeting is the awarding of the best projects of the \u201cDay of Renewing Brazil\u201d in the Southeast region, separated into 3 categories: Promotion of Diversity, Popular Mobilization and Civic Entrepreneurship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first, the winning project was \u201cFloresta A\u00e7\u00e3o Ju\u00e7ara\u201d, by student Alysson da Costa, from class E. In the Popular Mobilization category, the winning project was \u201cCidade Day\u201d, by student Vitor de Carvalho, from class F. The third highlight went to the project \u201cEconocria\u201d, by students Ana da Silva (class E), Bianca Panegassi (class C), Natachy Lamin (class A) and Milton Lins (class C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth mentioning that Renewal Day is an academic activity as part of RenovaBR&#039;s 2024 Elections training program. The projects aim to promote initiatives led by students from the school throughout Brazil. This year, all students carried out the project simultaneously on April 27, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Future Perspectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a growing network of alumni, advisors and institutional partners, RenovaBR continues to expand its impact. Initiatives such as the \u201cGente que Renova\u201d series, which will feature interviews and inspiring stories, are examples of how the organization intends to further strengthen its presence and influence in the Brazilian political scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event in S\u00e3o Paulo was another step in the journey.
