Tainara França, from Manaus and a RenovaBR alumna, is an example of how an idea put into practice can generate real transformations. A champion of education, youth, and women's rights, Tainara currently works as a director's advisor at the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas – but it is in the streets where she sees her greatest impact, with the project... "Making it Happen Manaus", which originated as the Day to Renew Brazil in 2024. 

The project began with a simple yet powerful purpose. As Tainara points out, the idea was to bring together people willing to change the world, even if that world was just one person's. "The 'Day to Renew Brazil' proposal motivated me to bring this idea to life. More than donations, the mission was to unite people with the same purpose," she recalls.

In its first edition, the initiative mobilized volunteers and collected sheets, food, sanitary pads, diapers, and personal hygiene items, in addition to promoting women's empowerment activities, encouraging sports, and supporting people experiencing homelessness. The Novo Israel neighborhood, where it all began, received a revitalized sports court as a gift, the result of a partnership between the community, public authorities, and private initiative.

According to Tainara, the initial challenge was mobilizing partners and engaging the community. “In the beginning, it was difficult to convince people that the project was viable. But when they saw the real impact, everything changed. We renovated an abandoned sports court, offered courses, talked about health, provided services, and showed that with unity we can make things happen.”

The initiative created on Brazil's Renewal Day continues to inspire new projects.

Since then, the initiative has grown and become the Vem, Vamos Fazer Acontecer Institute, which maintains a series of projects focused on social inclusion, sustainability, and citizenship. Among them are Plantar Juntos (school and community gardens), Por Elas (entrepreneurship and combating violence against women), Reformar para Recomeçar (renovation and donation of mobility equipment), and Esporte na Quadra, which encourages sports practice in different neighborhoods of Manaus.

In addition to these initiatives, the institute offers psychological, legal, and social support, expanding the reach of the action that originated from a RenovaBR training project.

“I learned that true leadership is born from listening and collective action. The power of action lies in bringing people together with purpose and believing that, even without resources, it is possible to transform lives,” reflects Tainara.

Today, she continues to be active in politics, reaffirming her belief that it happens every day, in every act of mobilization and solidarity. “We change realities, create networks, strengthen bonds, and amplify voices that were previously invisible. Politics goes beyond positions: it's done with purpose, with dialogue, with people. For people,” she concludes.
