On Friday (28), Limeira (SP) hosted the 2nd Forum “Women in Politics and Political Gender Violence”, an initiative by councilwoman and RenovaBR alumni, Mariana Calsa, which brought together leaders from different parts of the country to discuss how to expand and protect female participation in politics.

Held with the support of RenovaBR and Grupo Mulheres do Brasil, the event was free and reinforced politics as a space for dispute, collective construction and transformation — and training as a tool to ensure that more women occupy this place with preparation and security.

Aimed at women who currently hold public office, advisory positions and people interested in the topic, the event brought together other RenovaBR leaders, such as Tabata Amaral (federal deputy for São Paulo), Michelle Melo (state deputy for Acre), Marina Bragante (councilwoman for São Paulo) and Joyce Trindade (secretary for Women for the city of Rio de Janeiro). 

Also participating were Bruna Barros, Director of Institutional and International Affairs at RenovaBR, and Mafoane Odara, Advisor to the institution, as well as Renata dos Santos, Secretary of State for Finance of Alagoas.
