RenovaBR, in partnership with Insper, promoted the “Development and Leadership Program” training. This time, the initiative focused on continuing education for elected councilors, reinforcing the importance of continuous learning in public management.

The training, which brought together 200 council members and was developed especially for the leaders trained by RenovaBR, brings together elected representatives from different regions of the country. In this election, 296 leaders were elected to the City Councils, a milestone that reflects the growth and impact of RenovaBR in a collaborative and practical learning environment.

The classes covered essential topics for public management, such as agenda setting, people management, strategic planning and transparency tools. In addition, opportunities for sharing experiences among leaders enriched the program.

Impact on public management and collective learning

The ongoing training aims to improve the skills and knowledge of council members, enabling them to face the challenges of public administration efficiently and ethically. Participating council members have reported how the training has impacted their leadership and decision-making.

The invited teachers and experts highlight how the return of elected leaders to the classroom helps them return to their communities with more effective solutions.

Classes include modules such as “Strategy,” taught by Carlos Caldeira, “Planning,” led by Vivian Satiro, “Agenda Formation,” presented by Beatriz Sanchez, and “People Management,” taught by Gustavo Tavares. The program offers practical tools for implementing public policies. In addition to classes, the program promotes open discussions and practical workshops that connect leaders from different backgrounds.

RenovaBR emphasizes that ongoing training is a fundamental pillar of its mission to renew Brazilian politics. “Ongoing training is essential for our elected leaders to carry out their mandates with efficiency, ethics and commitment to the population. We want each councilor to be prepared to transform challenges into opportunities, promoting concrete changes in their communities,” emphasized Executive Director Rodrigo Cobra.
