In partnership with Learn To Fly, an organization that promotes leadership development, RenovaBR held the event “Mapping Your Skills”, focused on developing essential skills for leading with excellence. Exclusive to the Alumni Network, the event was attended by Irina Bullara, Young Global Leader and Advisor at RenovaBR, and Raissa Müller, Content Specialist at Learn to Fly.

Irina Bullara highlighted the importance of self-knowledge for political leadership. According to her, being authentic is essential in an environment that increasingly values transparency. “We need to know who we are in order to deliver authenticity. If we don’t know who we are, it will be difficult to be authentic. And voters quickly notice a lack of authenticity,” she said.

She also commented on the need to know both our strengths and weaknesses. “Being authentic involves recognizing our lights and shadows. We have to embrace both with equal intensity to be true and sustainable in our actions,” said Irina.

Raissa Müller, a psychologist with over 5 years of applied experience, discussed the importance of self-knowledge as a basis for building a solid future. “It is impossible to draw up a plan without knowing where we are. We need a compass to understand who we are today and who we want to become,” she pointed out.

“We are living in complicated times. The human brain has not adapted to the speed of information,” she highlighted. She also differentiated the skills that alleviate suffering from those that build well-being. “We need to understand that they are different skills. Just alleviating suffering is not enough to build happiness,” Raissa stressed about the emotional challenges faced today, mainly due to information overload.

The “Mapping Your Skills” event sought to encourage participants to develop their leadership skills through self-knowledge and personal empowerment, with a focus on authenticity and more effective political action. It is part of the Post-Election Trail, an exclusive program that was created for the RenovaBR Alumni Community with the aim of developing key skills and identifying new possibilities for action.
