The Museum of Tomorrow, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, was the stage for yet another RenovaBR Southeast Regional Meeting, the fourth of six events planned for students in the 2024 Elections training program. The meeting was attended by more than 110 participants, among the 150 registered, from five different states and 40 different municipalities.
The event stood out for its representation. Among those present, 55% were cis women, 0.9% were trans women and 44% were cis men. Regarding the racial diversity of the participants, 20% identified as black, 34% as brown and 43% as white.
Plurality was also reflected in the variety of party affiliations, with 19 different parties represented. This diversity reflects RenovaBR's commitment to being a non-partisan school, preparing political and public leaders from all spheres for a more just and egalitarian Brazil.
Since its founding in 2017, RenovaBR has been dedicated to selecting, encouraging and preparing leaders capable of transforming the country's political and social scenarios. With an approach focused on education for democracy and informed participation, the organization seeks to strengthen Brazilian democracy by training leaders committed to renewal and social justice.
The Southeast Regional Meeting, like the other events in the series, provides a space for learning, exchanging experiences and building networks among participants, preparing them to face the challenges of the 2024 elections. The diversity of voices and perspectives present at the event is a reflection of the plural Brazil that RenovaBR seeks to build.

In the Popular Mobilization category, the winning project was “A Música renova”, by student Eric Herrero. The third award went to “Projeto Acolher”, by student Mariana Medeiros.
Renewal Day is an academic activity as part of RenovaBR's 2024 Elections training program. The projects aim to promote initiatives led by students from the school throughout Brazil. This year, all students carried out the project simultaneously on April 27, 2024.
